No two implementations are alike, so rather than trying to force all Customers to work the same way, we go out of our way to create powerful, configurable optional modules so that our Customers can adapt and configure their Time&Space® implementation to best suit their needs.

Custom fields
No two organizations are alike, the data you capture, the way you group projects, analyze time and query the data is different.

What if you wanted to group projects by region or type of work or wanted to add a budget field to a customer, or define employee types then allocate these to employees to group employees in reports? All of this and more can be achieved with custom fields.

With custom fields you can create new fields, define their name and their data type (Yes/No question, a

number, a text field, a lookup, a URL), you can specify where the field will be used (on Employees, Customers, Projects, Departments)... you can even add the fields to drill down reports and they can be added to reports if you wish. Not only can you do all this withTime&Space®, you don't need a degree in computer science because Time&Space® does the hard work for you.

If you have a degree in computer science you may like to know that based on the fields you create, Time&Space® dynamically creates the tables, sets up the data types, attaches them to the relevant data forms, cuts the SQL for you, indexes your data and even prepares reporting views so that you can utilize the data in reports and exports! As our Technical Director said, "its hard work to design and develop a mechanism that can do this, but its better for our system to do it so that our customers don't have to."

Custom fields are available as an option to Ultimate edition customers and is included in selected cloud editions.

Report writer
The custom report writer is perhaps the most common optional module customers add to their Time&Space® system. Although there are many standard reports and drill downs built into Time&Space®, the report writer allows you to tailor reports to match your requirements.

With the built in wizard, even novice users can create reports, choose columns, sorting, sub-totalling and even attach the report to a menu.

Advanced users will relish the ability to access all underlying data, customize SQL for reporting, write formulas and format the reports and charts exactly as they want.

Of course no reporting system would be complete with out the ability to securely control who can access

reports. Here you can define security groups so that only users authorized to run reports can do so.

Report writer is available as an option to Ultimate edition customers and can be made available by special arrangement with Cloud customers.

Dashboard
The optional dashboard is a favorite amongst CEO's, CFO's, administrators and managers.

Dashboards are available throughout the system; at a summary level on the Home screen, and at a detailed level within projects, customers, employees and departments.

As you'd expect, the dashboards users have access to can be controlled by user security level.

New and updated dashboard panels are being created all the time, and if your CEO or CFO desperately wants a specific dashboard panel created for your organization, you can suggest it

Outlook Timesheet

If your organization uses Microsoft Outlook, you could be saving hours each week by letting users post their Outlook appointments as timesheets.

With our OutlookTime® plugin, users can allocate customer and project detail to Outlook appointments, then post them to their timesheet.

OutlookTime® supports Outlook 2007 and 2010 and does not require anything to be installed on the Exchange Server.
